Our story
Everything starts in the 1970s, with Jeanine Gabory. At a time when household and cosmetic products are largely from petrochemicals, it develops an allergy to chemical detergents. It will then realize that these products, in addition to attacking its skin, impact its health and the environment.
Curious and determined, Jeanine then turns to nature and discovers the richness of plant assets. She begins to elaborate herself with a wider and respectful alternatives of man and the planet, that she shares with her loved ones. Which was initially a necessity gradually becoming a real vocation: replace the plant at the heart of care.
In the 1990s, his son, Samuel Gabory joined the adventure and decided to pursue and amplify the family project. Convinced that cosmetics must evolve towards more transparency and responsibility, it is actively committed to defending this model and becomes one of the founders of the Association Cosmebio, reference of the organic label in cosmetics.
Of this commitment is born Coslys, a mark whose name is a leader of meaning: "cos" for cosmetics and "lily" in tribute to both the purity of this iconic flower and the river of the lys that flows near Somloire, where the Adventure takes root.
Since its creation, Coslys is a pioneer brand, among the first to get CosmeBio certification. Faithful to our values, we develop demanding formulas, centered on the best of the plant, banning any ingredient from petrochemicals: additives, perfumes and synthetic dyes, parabens, peg, EDTA, silicones, phenoxyethanol, mineral oils ...
